Water Softener Installation Plumbing Check
Having a water softener installed in your home is a great way to improve the quality of your water. However, before you have one installed, it’s important to make sure that your plumbing is up to the task. Otherwise, you could end up with some serious problems down the road.
When we do a plumbing check we look for three specific things to insure that your home is ready for a water softener.
- Main water supply line – when we check for the main water line we will look for the best place to bypass the water line to insure that the the water supply to a home if filtered correctly.
- Drain acces – We will look for drain access to the main sewer line because the water softener will clean itelf with salt brine and the drain is needed to dispose of the salty water.
- Power Supply – Most water softeners need a power supply to regenerate the water softener.
The whole process of checking a homes existing plumbing before installing a softener can take less than 30 minutes. With every installation the team at Garcia Water Care will give you an estimate if additional plumbing or electrical work is needed.
